Lesson 6
Page Properties
To set up your background and page properties you
need to click on the Format option in the main menu and at the bottom
click on Page Colors and Background. A window will open as shown in the
screenshot to the right. Under Page Colors the default choice is Reader's
default colors. This choice will let the viewer's browser default colors
choose how to display the text, link and background colors of your page.
If you would like to change this just click on the Use custom colors
option and the window will change to allow the grayed out areas to be
modified (click on the screenshot on the right to see the change).
If you click on each of the buttons for the text, links and background you
see another window pop up with a color chart.
Choose your colors from the chart and when finished click OK, repeat for
each custom color you want to change. If you are planning to add a
background image don't bother choosing a background color.
To add a Background Image, click on the Choose File
button and another window will open to your documents folder, find the
image you want to use for the background and click on it and the window
will close entering the path to the object into the Page Colors and
Background window. Click OK and you are finished setting up your Page
background and colors.
