This
tutorial I did for Windows XP, Windows98 has another tutorial, honestly
any other version of Windows, I don't know about them anymore, but if
need be can call my computer guy to give me the answer.

Close down your browser
-
Click on My computer on your desktop

Click on (C:) Drive
-
Click on Documents & Settings then
username (mine is Maggy and this step may only be for pro version) then
Local Settings
-
You may need to then click on
Show all files
-
Click on Temporary Internet Files
-
Go to Menu bar and choose Edit then Select All
-
Go back to Menu bar and choose File then Delete
-
In your
address bar it should say C:\Documents and Settings\Maggy\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files (replace the "Maggy" with your own
settings) you want to add to that \Content.IE5 and hit go

Delete all files and folders you see in there. You might get an
error message that you can't delete something, it is because you have
a browser window open, close it down.

Go back to Menu bar and choose Go then Up One Level

Delete all but the Content.IE5 folder if it is visible to you

Go back to menu bar and choose Go then Up One Level

Click on History folder
-
Go to Menu bar and choose Edit then Select All

Go back to Menu bar and choose File then Delete

Go back to Menu bar and choose Go then Up One Level

Click on the Temp folder
-
Go to Menu bar and choose Edit then Select All

Go back to Menu bar and choose File then Delete
-
Go back to Menu bar and choose Go then Up One Level

Click on the Downloaded Program Files

You can do two things with the three circled files, either delete the
them entirely or right click on them individually and choose update. I
highly recommend deleting them and reinstalling. If you are having
chat problems, definitely delete.
Reboot your computer.
