Publishing Your Web from
FrontPage XP
When publishing a new web to
your site, follow the steps here.
First open your
web that you would like to publish. Then click on File then Publish
Web as shown in the graphic below on the left.
When you have
clicked on this Image 2 shown below on your right top will display,
enter the destination path to publish your web (the url to your
site).
You will then have a window pop
up like Image 3 shown below your right bottom. Enter your username
and password into this window.
Your web will now
be listed in a window shown like the one shown in the image below.
If you have subwebs within your web, you will want to click the
little box on the bottom left of this window. To be sure your
publishing settings are correct, click on Options.
Click on
Publish when the window below appears if it does not automatically
go there.
Choose your
preferences for options in this window then click OK.
Back at the
Publish Web window click on Publish.
Now you will see
the window as shown below here, it will show your page titles and
graphics as they are being published.
If you have
published your web previously and you are about to overwrite some
files you will receive a message as shown below left here. Click Yes
or Yes to all to replace, and No or No to All if you do not want to
replace files.
When your
site has been successfully published you will receive the message
box on your right below.
If you have made a
slight change to a page you can right click on the page in the
folder list and Publish just that page. See the graphic to your
left. It will bring you through the process above, only you are not
publishing your entire web.
