Lesson 21

Hyperlinks

When you choose the Hyperlinks icon then click on any page within your web you can quickly see all links coming to and going out to that page. For example, when I click on the sitemap page, it shows nearly every page in the AMM web pointing to the sitemap page and the sitemap page pointing to each of them. This is because each page in the web states at the bottom of the page that if the viewer cannot see the Java Applet menu they can click on the link to the sitemap to access more pages and the sitemap lists all pages for the viewer to access. If you look at the links on the index page there are only a few pointing out and one pointing in. The one pointing in is the Christmas page and it becomes the index page at Christmastime and once it is viewed you click on the enter  link to access the rest of the pages in Ask Maggy Mae.

Tasks

To set up a new task on Tasks in the Views Bar then right click in the window and choose Add task, it can also be accessed via  Edit and View in the main menu. A window like the screenshot on the right will open and you can name your task, assign the task to whoever is to complete it, then add a description of the task to be completed. You can give the task a priority level of High, Medium or Low. Once you click OK the task is added to the web and can be viewed by either the Reports Option in the Views Bar or by Clicking on View in the main menu and choosing Tasks. Once a task has been added to the web it can be viewed by clicking on View in the main menu then choosing Tasks. The Tasks report will then appear and by right clicking on a task listed in the report you can either edit, start, mark complete or delete the task.
